Well, I'm guessing that if you made it past the photos and the odd detail or two didn't scare you off, then comes the next question. Do we have anything in common?
Maybe this questionaire will help.
Do you know who Statler and Waldorf are (*hint* think muppets!
)?
Can you name a book written by Dostoyevsky?
Do you like to play hide'n'seek in the rain?
Do you like children? Animals?
Are you kind of tired of the bar scene?
Do you want to save the world?
Can you watch "NOVA" on PBS without begging for the remote?
Have you ever done volunteer work?
Do you like the Hokies (At least a little)?
Would you be willing to help me with a crossword puzzle on a lazy afternoon?
Do you respect other people's opinions?
Do you recycle?
What's a Hoberman sphere? A Dyson sphere?
Would you like to see the Great Wall of China someday?
Do you like wintertime slurpees?
Are you still looking for that someone special?
That's probably enough to get the gist. Seriously, I'm just looking to make friends first. After that we can let nature take its course, and who knows?
Here's the part where I'm supposed to be creative. I know, I know, this is supposed to be the hook. Should the date be totally spontaneous, or should I have everything planned out from the carriage ride to the long stem roses? I find the best dates are those where you're both doing something for the first time. That way you can share in the exploration of the new experience together. Maybe there's a new restaurant in town, or we could go on a snipe hunt
, or... well, I think you get the idea.
