I think the moment you reach this box and you begin to write the sentence-'Hey, my names David. I live in Greenwich, but i'm orginally from Kent...bah bah bah'- the realisation hits you in the face that i am in fact on a dating website and secondly, i have nothing orginal or that doesn't sound like a clich'e to write. So i'm guessing everyone has this problem and i'm going to try to make this painless in speed and brutal in honesty. (Deep Breath). I'm 24 in two weeks. I'm currently finishing my degree in english and creative writing at Greenwich (finish this summer). I work part-time as a bar manager in one of those orrible Scream pubs that serve Mcpints to tax dogers such as myself. I share a flat with two other guys. One is an accountant and the landlord (goes hand in hand). The other is a web designer that checks out websites such as this one instead of working, and is sitting next to me and battling me to sign up, hence why i am writing this. So i'm finding every word i write a mission at the mo because i am nursing my religous hangover i aquire every weekend with him. When i'm not in my own little world dreaming up short stories or writing poetry ( it gets easier to say with tme but always will sound gay!) or working shitty hours for next to nothing to support myself at uni, i do whatever i can to have fun and meet new people. I'm generally up for anything that's a laugh or abit different. I like socialising with my large and varied selection of friends, some by choice and some that just won't go away. I'm not gonna lie;i don't see enough sunlight or do outdoor sports. I'm more of an after dark kinda guy and my idea of exercise is sambuka for strengthening and toning, and clubbing for cardiovascular. I guess i don't have to really describe myself because i'm going to have to take a picture of myself in a second, but i will appoligise because i'm blantantly going to look abit worse for wear and i can't be a***d to change out of my flat pants and hoodie. Seriously tho, i think people would say i am a stand up bloke, parents taught me manners and all that. I think by what i study and have written here you can tell i am abit of a dreamer and with it comes being just a tad of a romantic. But i think if i weren't me, i'd like me, so there is only a couple of things left to say- Bill and teds bogus journey is awesome, my roast dinner is smelling fantastic and... my favourite colour is blue!

After everytime i have gone to dinner, see a film or any simliar dating excursion i have forgetten almost immediatly what a bad idea it is, but not today. It leaves me out of pocket and not really any wiser on the situation of whether i actually get on with the person. If you treat yourself and someone else to dinner i find it hard not to have a goodtime because your too busy enjoying the whoe routine of things and the "artifical romance" not too. I realise this is probably the lest popular anwser to this question but its true. I like doing over blown gestures and the whole romance thing, but i think the best first date is not making any plans other than actually going for a drink. That way you get to spend time just with each other with nothing to hide behind. And if it turns out you're not really that interest you can both get drunk, have sex and never call them again. The last part is a joke.
