As the headline says back for a bit then who knows? In my previous incarnation I likely came across as a radical, immature, freaky kind of guy.I'm not a freaky person, but believe we only go round once in this incarnation, so what the hell, live to the max: anything else is less than what we were meant to do. Well
sorry to say I haven't changed any except maybe a little wiser and certainly older. I've put a few different interests up as I'm an eclectic person and everything is fair game at least once. Yeah I know there's a lot there, but when you're as young at heart(immature) as me, ya get bored kinda easy and go looking for other stuff to do or learn, or pester my friends with etc. I've been a student of Zen for over 40 yrs, but am no master and can only live my own life. But I can say one thing with conviction, I am a mature self aware person, and at least within myself am a fully awakened human being with all of the attributes that one needs to explore and live one's life. Aaaand for a guy, I can do a few different things at the same time: walk, chew gum, and maybe even talk at the same time(even about my feelings) who would have thunk it? I'm not perfect(understatement) and since this is not a perfect universe, perfection is a nebulous thing at best, but I'll be happy with regular and easy to be and get along with(also extremely patient). I'm still not interested in the dysfunctional ex, don't want to know about the weasels you've met(well maybe we'll swap a few stories), and don't want to talk ill of anyone behind their back. The past is lived and learned from (hopefully) and the future lies ahead. Oh and yes I'm still real silly and still building& driving silly fast cars. In the religion section I've posted "other" in fact I am a Zen student, but am not Buddhist, rather I try to follow the teachings in the Hagakure , which is more a life philosophy than a religion. While some of the ideals espoused within are medieval, I firmly believe in the ideal of honour and duty, and will never give up this core belief. In most other aspects of my life though I try to be adaptable and level-headed in my dealings with others.
I do love speed though (not likely to change either)
A friend of mine gave me a copy of what I consider words to ponder: When I die I want to come to a sideways skid, tired out, used up, looking like hell but yelling for ONE MORE TIME!!!!!!(it's part mine as well). This friend recently died: Dan have a great time wherever the hell you are!
P.S. the cartoon photo is a tribute(tongue very much in cheek) to my friends and family who have lived their lives well and truly, but most of all honestly:thanks
First date is not a preferred term, it ain't a date just a meet. Might want to consider meeting at a POF event, they're a ton of fun and the people attending seem very open and nice. Otherwise a mutual meet place is fine, I myself am very flexible. What I do ask for on the first meet is to bring honesty, and be very ready to talk about yourself:I ask tons of questions and expect honest answers. In return you get to ask questions and get back honest answers as well.
