When it comes to life experience, I've already done most of it, and have the scars as proof. I like to play most sports, and I'm game for learning new ones. I do my best to be active, though I've got some physical limitations (I can hike with you just fine, but I can't scale Mt. Everest). I'm in a second go-round working with kids with developmental disabilities, because it's rewarding work that can change my world. I enjoy my nerdhood on a regular basis, through movies, books, my writing, and other pass times.

My friends have described me as gentle, caring, nice, funny, and positive. I try and live my life so that I can tell anyone what I'm up to, and what I'm thinking at any given moment.

I like to cook, eat sushi, and give back rubs. I can also draw, and I do write poetry... I can tell the difference between a Petrarchan sonnett and a Shakespearian sonnett, due to my very bizzare selection of classes in college.

My current philosophy for life is to make the people who are around me happy, so that I can share in their joy. More than twice, I've been called "too generous," but I'd rather get burned again than become jaded by my past.

I'm looking for someone to watch scary movies with, someone who'll appreciate what I do for her, and the time and attention I have to give to her. Someone who'll surprise me with her own poetry. As I try and be active, I need someone who also keeps herself occupied, both physically and mentally; I'm not glued to the TV, and couldn't last long with someone who is. I tend to be attracted to the tomboy type, but I have no idea why... probably because those are the women who'll help me clean the fish while we're out camping!

Just looking for friends now, I'm in a new job, with new expectations and new hurdles to navigate. I don't want to begin too many new things all at once!
